Where the flame of
freeform radio still burns
Above all else it's about the music, something that today corporate/commercial radio uses to fill in the space between adsif they play any tunes at all. As the ancient scrolls tell us, that wasn't always true; there was a time when radio brought a wide variety of music, full of all kinds of styles and sounds, into our lives. It turned us on to new artists and songs, and helped us to remember old ones. But that was a long time ago, and the current corporate AM/FM radio wasteland shows no sign of changing any time soon.
So what's an adventurous, enterprising music fan to do? Embrace Internet radio, of course! Now, radio that's eclectic, thought provoking, unpredictable and fun is once again available, and that's the kind of radio you'll find at Lucky Dog. Rock, Pop, Soul, R&B, Folk, Country, Reggae, Jazz, Blues, Comedy and whatever else worksit's all about segues, sets and the overall mix. There's a huge amount of wonderful music out there that never gets played on corporate radio; the goal at Lucky Dog is to play as much of it as possible. (Or even more than possible . . . although, come to think of it, that's not actually possible, is it? But if it were, you can trust the Lucky Dog would make it happen.
