How do I listen?
The easiest way to listen to Lucky Dog Radio is by clicking on the nifty listening widget located at the top of the left column (very kindly supplied by Live365, the technical wizards who make it possible for Lucky Dog Radio to be heard in cyberspace). That causes the Live365 player window to open, giving you access to the stream. If you like what you hear and want to return for another session in the future, you can continue to use this method for a (very) limited number of times. However, in order to keep listening in perpetuity, you will eventually be prompted by Live365 to register with them. Fortunately, they have made this a painless and FREE procedure, and you can be assured they will not share the limited amount of information they request during this process with anyone.
Once registered you can continue to access the free stream through the listening widget. You can also build one for LDR and place it on your own Web page(s), which lets everyone know you're a Lucky Dog listener and provides invaluable help in spreading the word about the station.
Another listening option is iTunes, where Lucky Dog is listed on their radio service. Accessing the stream is as simple as clicking on the Radio icon in iTunes, and then opening up the Eclectic menu listed there. Scroll your way down to the Ls, and then click on Lucky Dog Radio. There are other media player choices as well, and more information on those can be found here. Whatever method you choose, there are a couple of facts about the free stream to keep in mind: 1) Because LDR streams in 64K MP3Pro stereo, some players will provide a better sonic experience than others, and 2) Live365 places advertisements within the stream to help pay the bills.
Fortunately, there is an alternative that removes these irritating factors without eliminating the absolute bliss that overtakes anyone who listens to the Dog. For more info, click on the tab marked SUPPORT at the top of this page.
