Lucky Dog Radio features hand-crafted programs that mix new and old music drawn from all over the universe of sound. Internet radio's antidote to all that's boring and repetitious about terrestrial radio, LDR is where the flame of freeform radio still burns.
Well, the program is back in the mix. It took much longer than I had hoped, and there's no telling if everything will remain stable with SoniXcast to keep it up, but for now the plan is to keep creating shows through the rest of the year. I hope to eventually return to the normal twice-a-week schedule, but for now it will have to be a somewhat haphazard approach due to circumstances having nothing to do with the radio station or our streaming provider. (That's why this update is appearing later than expected, considering the program has been available for most of the past week.) Thanks very much for listening and don't hesitate to get in touch with any feedback you may have about anything you heard on the station.
We are still in hiatus mode as far as the daily program is concerned. The hope all along had been that the tools necessary to resume producing the show would be available by the first of the year, but it's still not clear whether that date is doable (although it is looking less and less likely). I'm confident the bugs that have plagued the latest software update provided by LDR's new streaming provider will eventually be removed. When that happens, the program will resume as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience during this frustrating time.
It's been a few weeks since the program went on temporary hiatus, and during that time I've managed to notify most of the Internet radio aggregators about the new streaming address for LDR. All of the various listening choices are located in the left column; take them for a spin and find the one that works best for you.
So far I've not heard anything to make me believe the updated software from SoniXcast (LDR's new streaming provider) that will allow production of the program to begin again won't be ready sometime this month. So I'm keep my fingers crossed, and in the meantime you can continue to refresh yourself with the ever-deepening pool of tunes that is the Lucky Dog Well of Music.
